“The Biggest Dirty Movie Maker in Oldham County” We have a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera mounted on a robotic crawler that inspects our mains and identifies problems in our collection system---making dirty movies. The work in the field is only half the story. We have a dynamic database program which: • Organizes the movie files and prioritizes problems • Produces reports for use in establishing our needs based on industrial (PACP) standards • Creates a unique identifier that ties each piece of video back to a pipe segment on a geospatial map • Generate letters in the field helping our customers with some internal plumbing problems Our inspections are sometimes showing problems with tree roots in line for our customers but on their side of the line, beyond the scope of what we do. In an effort to help our customers fix their plumbing problems before they become expensive back-ups, we now field generate a letter with a picture of the problem that we can leave at the customer’s door.
